All patients that have been advised to attend the surgery must now wear a face mask or covering when attending.
Failure to do so, especially in relation to face to face appointments may result in the clinician not seeing you.
This is following guidance from the BMA (British Medical Association) in relation to government advice that the public will be required to wear face masks on public transport from the 15th June. The BMA have advocated the wearing of face coverings in areas where they cannot socially distance.
Please note:
- Face coverings are not a replacement for social distancing and regular hand washing which remain the most important actions
- They do not need to be worn by children under two or primary aged children who cannot use them without assistance
- Public urged not to buy medical grade masks so they can be saved for front line health and care workers, and instead make their own face coverings at home
