Home visits

We encourage patients to come to the surgery whenever possible, as we have the equipment and facilities needed to provide the best care. However, we understand that this is not always possible. In this respect, we offer home visit that you can request by calling at reception 01213280999.

A GP will only visit you at home if they believe it is medically necessary. They will also decide how quickly the visit is needed.

When requesting a home visit, please give as much information as possible about your condition. A GP may call you first to discuss your symptoms and decide the best way to help you.

NOTE: Please note that transport difficulties are not usually a reason for a home visit. Children should be brought to the surgery whenever possible.

If you are unable to leave your home, a community nurse may be able to visit you if your GP refers you.

If you have recently had a baby, or you have a child under 5 and have recently joined the practice, a health visitor may also visit you at home.
